About the OPC Referral Network for Therapy and Counselling in Scarborough and Durham Region

The Ontario Psychotherapy and Counseling Referral Network offers appointments with qualified and caring Durham Region therapists and counsellors for people living in Scarborough, Ajax, Pickering, Whitby, or other Durham Region cities.

The therapist or counselor you're referred to will be a graduate of or senior therapist-in-training at the Ontario Psychotherapist Training and Counseling Certificate Program. The OPC Program generally takes a minimum of five years to complete, and its training curriculum has been designed to meet and exceed the professional standards established by associations of psychotherapists and counselors in Ontario and Canada-wide.

OPC's Durham and Scarborough Psychotherapists and Counsellors come from many different backgrounds and have been trained to integrate many types of therapy and counselling in their work with you. An OPC therapist can provide affordable and effective individual therapy and couples counselling, and help for dealing with unique problems in same-sex relationships, blended family, and parenting.

The OPC Referral Network is a caring community of professionals -- we will work with you to find the right counselor or psychotherapist for you. An experienced graduate of the OPC Program may be able to offer therapy on a sliding scale, and low cost counseling and therapy is offered with senior student therapists of the program.
