Who Are OPCC Therapists?
OPCC therapists are thoughtful, well-trained, and deeply committed to their clients’ growth and well-being.
They come from a wide range of backgrounds — culturally, professionally, and personally — but share a common foundation: extensive training in depth-oriented, relational psychotherapy.
All of our therapists are:
- Grounded in Relational and Psychodynamic Practice
They are trained to help you explore not just what you’re feeling — but why — and how those patterns may be rooted in early relationships, cultural context, or unspoken experiences. - Supervised and Supported
Whether you work with an advanced student therapist or a graduate, all therapists in our network receive ongoing clinical supervision and are part of a professional learning community. - Ethically and Inclusively Trained
OPCC therapists are committed to creating spaces that honour your identity, uphold confidentiality, and engage with care around race, gender, culture, and power. - Genuinely Attuned
More than anything, our therapists are here to listen, think with you, and walk alongside you. They bring care, courage, and curiosity to every conversation.
We’ll Match You with the Right Therapist
Rather than asking you to search through dozens of bios, we take the time to understand what you’re looking for — and then pair you with someone we believe will be a good fit.
You’ll always have the chance to meet and decide whether it feels right to move forward.
Working with a Student Therapist
Affordable care. Rigorous training. Deep support.
Therapy with a student therapist at OPCC is not only accessible — it’s also deeply supported. Our advanced student therapists are in the final stages of our five-year clinical training program in psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy. They bring a high level of care, professionalism, and reflective practice to their work.
Each student therapist:
- Has completed extensive coursework in ethics, diversity, trauma, and theory
- Participates in regular clinical supervision with a CRPO-approved Registered Psychotherapist (Clinical Supervisor)
- Engages in self-reflection and personal therapy as part of their training
- Is committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental space for healing
Choosing a student therapist is a powerful and affordable way to access high-quality psychotherapy. You’ll receive thoughtful care from someone who is engaged, supervised, and trained to see the deeper threads of your experience.
