  • Supporting the personal and professional development of therapists-in-training
  • Honouring the complex cultural, historical, and relational contexts that shape mental health
  • Promoting accessible, affordable psychotherapy in service of individual and community well-being

Our therapeutic orientation is rooted in psychodynamic, relational, trauma-informed, and attachment-based approaches, with an emphasis on reflective practice, deep listening, and the co-construction of meaning and change in the therapeutic relationship.

Accessibility & Equity

At OPCC, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible, and anti-oppressive environment for all members of our community — including students, faculty, clients, and referral partners.

We recognize that psychotherapy must honour and reflect the diversity of the individuals and communities we serve. This includes understanding the impact of systemic inequities, historical trauma, and cultural contexts on mental health and well-being.

We are dedicated to:

  • Providing accessible psychotherapy services through our Referral Network, including offering sliding-scale fees and virtual therapy options
  • Supporting students and therapists with disabilities through accommodations and inclusive learning environments
  • Embedding anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive practice throughout our training and supervision
  • Offering supervision that supports therapists in deepening their awareness of relational dynamics shaped by race, gender, sexuality, ability, and other dimensions of identity
  • Continually learning and evolving as an institution to better support equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work

If you or your clients have specific accessibility needs or questions about how we can support them through the Referral Network, please contact us at: referrals@opccollege.ca
